On Oct. 28th evening the Dwarkamai Shirdi Sai Temple celebrated Diwali with a melodious and enthralling musical evening with Abhijit Ghoshal famed Bollywood Singer and winner of 11 consecutive SaReGaMaPa episodes. Abhijit was accompanied by Samit (another big name in composing  industry with work including Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai) on the keyboard and our own local musical prodigy Pranav Ghatraju on the tabla.  

The program was free of cost to the music lovers. The evening started with daily Aarti followed by an excellent dinner provided courtesy of local Indian restaurant Priya.

Abhjit Ghoshal who sang songs in popular bollywood movies like London Dreams  and Kisaan started the evening with Ganesh Vandana ( Gannaikai..)  And enthralled the audience with his versatility for almost 3 hours. He sang few devotional songs like  Surja ki Garmi se /he also sang new song from his yet to be released album (Chal Manwa which become instant hit among audience due to it catchy tune. Knowing very well his popularity among young kids  who were  waiting for some bollywood songs he entertained all by singing popular numbers  like cham cham Baje re Payliya, Tere Tere Mast mast  do Nain etc. Everyone enjoyed the three hour musical ride of devotional and bollywood songs

The temple hall was filled to capacity with Music lovers . Abhijit kept the audience (more than 350) captivated for nearly 3 hours with an excellent  mix of devotional  and few Indian movie songs . Despite the Dewali weekend  large numbers of  music lovers from Boston  showed up to listen this gifted singer. Prominent among those spotted in the evening were Mr & Mrs Harish Dang  ,Mr & Mrs Bipin Parekh  Mr & Mrs  Siraz Khan   Mr & Mrs Anil Sehgal and many more..

Amazed with  electrifying Performance of Pranav  Abhijit couldn’t stop praising him and also promised  to have Pranav on Tabla in his future musical concerts in US ..

The program ended with a standing ovation from the audience and long line of people waiting to get photos and autographs from Abhijit.
