For the past ten years, Lokvani has consistently provided and preserved detailed records of topics, people, institutions, issues and events especially targeted to the Indian community in New England. It has informed, educated and entertained its readers every other week. Lokvani offers one of the most extensive, up-to-date records of emerging and ongoing local issues, personalities and stories of interest to the Indian community. Part of what makes Lokvani so unique is their ability to cover topics of interest and provide valuable information that is not available from other sources. Among their many topics include coverage of area politics and legislation, event calendars and even write-ups of high school football games and dance performances by local kids! By providing access to both current issues and years of archives, the web-based Lokvani database enables users to track and thoroughly analyze information on countless subjects over time.. I think of Lokvani as a chronicle of South Asian history in the Boston area. Years later, if one looks back at this period, they can find every significant event involving South Asians in the Boston area, in one or more of the Lokvani issues.  It is the web that connects all of us – be it through event, articles, interviews…what have you.  I think I can safely say that most of us turn to Lokvani when we want to learn more about an event or if we want to publicize an event and that to me shows that Lokvani is the community tool for us South Asians. – Anu Chitrapu
