About PAL
PAL is a completely student-Ââ€run nonprofit organization that is committed to partner with like-Ââ€minded people for the Advancement of Learning. There are millions of underprivileged children all over the world, who are desperately seeking assistance to a better education and in need of other basic necessities. At the same time there are millions of fortunate people who are kind hearted and can share a little bit of their time and money to help those underprivileged. This is where PAL comes in to action. PAL is committed to create a friendly relation between the fortunate and the less fortunate. We are not donors, and the less-†fortunate are not the receivers. We are just PALs, lending a hand out to our friends! PAL’s Goals 1.) Providing students with the tools that will help them attain an adequate education. (i.e. Scholarships, Backpacks) 2.) Creating a bridge between the fortunate and the less fortunate as a pal or a friend 3.) Running fundraisers to raise awareness as well as money to support our projects 4.) Providing Schools with the financial support that is necessary for them to operate 5.) Renovating schools around the world so that students have proper facilities After helping my father’s non-Ââ€profit organization Friends Foundation with this project in the past few years, I was motivated to do it on my own and help more schools and children. I started the Partnership for the Advancement of Learning shortly known as P.A.L., to help.
This year our volunteers began fundraising at the start of the summer, reaching out to family friends as well as local businesses. We also received contributions from Staples, who donated all of the crayons and Pencils in the Backpacks. In the end we are once again able to donate 400 backpacks and supplies, worth over $10,000.
