Pratibha Shah 08/25/2011 Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America (AAPNA) recently organized its 3rd
International Ayurveda Conference in Hilton Boston / Woburn, MA, USA
from August 12-15, 2011. The conference, with the theme of “Ayurveda
for Women’s Health†drew about 170 participants from around the world --
USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Switzerland, Ukraine, Croatia,
Brazil, India, UAE. There were participants from 28 different U.S.
states. The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Sunita Kanumury, MD,
President of American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin
(AAPI). More than 15 internationally renowned Ayurvedic physicians and
integrative medicine physicians presented academic, clinical and
research papers, and the conference culminated with AAPNA’s annual

Professionals of North America (AAPNA), Inc., founded by Dr. Shekhar
Annambhotla, started as a discussion amongst a group of ayurvedic
professionals in 2002 and officially incorporated in 2007 as a
non-profit 501(c)(6) corporation in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,
USA. The executive committe today comprises of Dr. Pratibha Shah,
Vice-President, Dr. Ashlesha Raut, Secretary and Dr. Dhanada Kulkarni,
Membership Director. The organization has grown to unite Ayurvedic and
integrative medicine health professionals, students, academic institutes
and corporations throughout North America and internationally. Some of our accomplishments to date are: We are committed to
sharing Ayurvedic knowledge and wisdom and exchanging ideas with
integrative health professionals and all who are interested in Ayurveda.
Our Vision is to bring the healing science of Ayurveda and its modalities to the forefront of integrative medicine in the West. Our Mission is by
sharing our wisdom, extensive education and experience, diverse
