Laughter- The Path to Liberation

Human life is invariably tragic with divine discontent. We always look for something more and for that matter even the sky is not the limit. At last,if fortunate enough, we come to realize that until we solve the mystery of life through self-realization, our search for permanent peace, security and happiness leads us nowhere.

The first step is to know that we are ignorant and to remove that we need  lessons on self-realization.

The next requirement is an application of the sense ofdiscrimination. We need to be analytical. Whatever we may listen to, ultimately we accept only that to what our inner self responds. Hence freedom of thought must be achieved through cast iron discrimination.

By this time we realize that our real barrier lies in unending desires which keep us chained. If the mind is preoccupied with mist of desires, it cannot concentrate on the truth. But the flame of desire is the nucleus of our life. It is not possible to extinguish the same altogether.

Our greatest enemy is our own controllable mind. It invariably deludes us with false hopes of lasting happiness from the material world and tempts us to escape from self-realization. We need to lift up our mind with the help of the mind. Here 'pranayam' or ther art of laughter helps. Practicing these facilitates the breathing techniques to self-realization. Liberation is achieved when all these four wheels take us to the ultimate goal.

Laughter and proper breathing techniques help us to the stage of feeling fit, which is necessary for reaching self-realization. Being fit is joyful, brings happiness and is more fun. So we can say fitness is fun. It creates a necessary cycle.

If you want more fun, you need more fitness. Simply put, fit people have more fun, for three reasons:

Fit people are physically trained to have a good time.

Fit people are mentally trained to have a good time. In fact, when you hit the gym, you're doing more than simply training your muscles to be hard. You're training your brain to be happy. After strenuous exercise, your brain steps up its bonding with naturally occurring opiods, essentially making your emotional responses more positive.

Fit people are more fun to be around. Check this out: One study looked at kids who played outdoors and kids who spent most of their time indoors. The ones who went outside to play were more popular with other kids. And, oddly, their parents were more popular, too!

Hmmm... so here's something that will make you more popular and more attractive to the opposite sex, help you live longer, and allow you to laugh at stress while enjoying more of the things you love? And you can get it for the cost of a pair of sneakers? (Can you believe we still have to convince people to exercise?)

Of course, it's the perfect feedback loop: Laughter, like exercise, cuts stress, boosts immunity, smacks around bad cholesterol, and lowers blood pressure. So if you want to be truly fit... have some fun, aim towards self-realization and look within. Fun, laughter, and fitness start right within you.

Laugh a lot. Turn stress into success.
