Katrina Kaif has apologized for her statement that Rahul Gandhi is half-Indian and half-Italian just like she is half British and half Indian In an interview to a newspaper, Katrina Kaif had reportedly said, “Am I supposed to be ashamed that I am half- Asian, I mean, no! Rahul Gandhi is half-Indian, half-Italian. So? I am very proud of what I am and I just don’t understand the confusion as if I’m trying to hide the fact that my mother’s a British. Why would I?†The star feels her remarks made during an interview were misconstrued. “I think the statement has been taken out of context, but if I have hurt anyone’s sentiments, I’m extremely sorry, I request media to not to make any controversy out of that, because it’s not the way the statement was made at all, †said Katrina. Earlier, responding to a question regarding the controversy, Congress spokesperson Manish Tiwari told reporters in Delhi, “Katrina Kaif kaun hai, main nahi janta. Kal ko aap Johnny Lever ke bayan par pratikriya mangege. Raajniti ko kitna neeche lekar jayenge (I don’t know who Katrina Kaif is. Tomorrow, you will ask our reactions on Johnny Lever. To what levels will you bring politics down?)â€
Sajid Nadiadwala recently received a letter from the Korean Prime Minister's office inviting him to visit the country and scour locations to shoot his Salman-Sonakshi starrer Kick. The producer is making plans to fly down next month. As reported 'Kick not in Japan' (Hitlist, April 28), the filmmaker had initially planned to shoot in the land of the rising sun but due to the earthquake, opted for Korea instead.

Vivek Oberoi has already begun conceptualising his look for Krrish 2.
