Sri Kuchipudi Natyalaya presented kuchipudi dance ballet “Sri Krishna Paarijatham” in the auspicious presence of HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji on June 19th at Chinmaya Mission in Andover, MA. Sailaja Chaudhary, under her Dance for a Cause mission, presented this ballet with her students to raise awareness and funds for Jet USA mission to promote Vedic schools in India.

The program started with songs from prajna students, classical songs by Smt. Padma Valli followed by swamiji’s discourse to the audience.  The ballet, Sri Krishna Parijatham proves to be a timeless classic as it celebrates its 50th anniversary, since its conception and choreography by the living icon, Guru Vempati Chinna Satyam in 1960.

The cast included: Soujanya Vendra (Krishna); Sailaja Chaudhary (Satyabhama); Lalitha Deverkonda (Rukmini); and Srikari Tummala (Narada).
