WBC Mega Mixer - Enhancing Woman-To-Woman Networking

The Women Building Connections sixth event was a great success!  About 200 local, women in business came together for a Mega Mixer hosted in collaboration with Nancy Cantor of The Dream Factory Community.  By joining forces with fifteen other women’s organizations in MA and RI, the evening provided attendees a unique opportunity to learn more about these various groups and their mission as well as network and build connections with other women.  The event was hosted by The Hampton Inn, Natick, MA.

Nancy Cantor, of The Dream Factory, gave an exciting presentation on “Maximizing Your Networking Efforts.”  Nancy engaged women from the audience to help further facilitate connections between attendees and exemplify how networking really works.

All attendees left with their own copy of the Women’s Organization Roster detailing the mission of each organization that took part in the Mega Mixer.  These organizations had the opportunity to expand their reach in to new markets by introducing themselves to the audience via short presentations and table displays.  Everyone left with a heightened awareness for women’s causes, organizations, opportunities with and among other women in business, in addition to several new connections.

Mobinett Networking Tool Demo:
During the Mobinett Interactive Demo, several attendees signed up on Plug, their location-based mobile networking platform that helps people discover exciting business, technology and networking events around Boston.  Once checked in on Plug, attendees can access all the event info, share on social networks, and find & connect with relevant people.  Plug’s automated matching is highly effective, recommending new contacts, based on shared interests and mutual connections. Please visit http://GetPlug.com or contact: contact@mobinett.com
