ISW Elects New Executive Committee

Executive Committee
Shri Garg, President Shri Garg has been a volunteer of ISW for last 30 years. Recently he was serving society as co-chairman of Board of Trustees. In the past he chaired Friday Movie Night program for few years. He was Advisor of ISW Youth Group (IYG) for 6 years. For over 10 years he is Chairperson of ISW scholarship committee. He has also served ISW executive Committee as Assistant General Secretary in past. He wants to see ISW as the most unique association with highest quality.
Suresh Gupta, Vice President A resident of Shrewsbury, Suresh Gupta treasures a monumental experience in serving the community and especially brings over sixteen years of significant involvement in ISW activities. His education is in Electrical Engineering and brings in an extensive leadership and professional experience in engineering management. His previous positions as Vice President and past position as a Chair of the Religious Committee of ISW have been a true reflection of another professionalism. Absolutely passionate and loaded with enormous energy to serve as the ISW VP.
Prabhakar Jain, Treasurer Prabhakar has lived in the Worcester area for over 30 years and has held various positions in professional societies throughout New England such as bringing Statistical Process Control Society to a Non-Profit status with IRS as well as serving as president for the Springfield chapter. He has served on a number of committees such as education committee for the American Society for Quality in the Worcester section. He has worked very closely with the ISW, serving as one of the judges for the scholarship committee.
Shaikh Hoque, Asst. Treasurer A resident of Marlborough, Shaikh takes pride in serving his Family, Friends and the Community. A Manager at RBS Citizens with a professional back ground in IT and Business, Shaikh has been actively serving multiple charitable organizations devoted towards the education and uplift of Children in third world countries. He has high regards for the society and is very keen to further improve children/community participation in ISW events Ashish Cowlagi, General Secretary Ashish has been serving on the ISW Executive Committee since 2006, and recently completed his first term as the General Secretary of ISW. In addition, he is the Managing Editor of the ISW community newsletter - eSandesh and serves on the Seminar, Membership, Website and IT subcommittees. Puneet Kohli, Assistant General Secretary Having served on the EC for past 2 years and been associated with ISW for as many years it is a pleasure to continue to serve the community. Having chaired the Seminar-Subcommittee, and been part of eSandesh and Web-committee it gives an Immense sense of gratification to be able to serve such vibrant organization and be part of a great community. Continue to grow our volunteer base is a key goal for 2011-12.
Neena Mohanka, Chair, India Center Committee “I am very proud to be part of such a great organization that is made up of such an amazing group of people†is a statement that Neena makes with equally proud profound pride. She has been very actively bonded with many ISW functions and does an unbelievable job in taking care of India Center as the current chair. If you see anyone as resident of Shrewsbury, always filled with tons of energy and smile, that is Neena Mohanka. Bhavna Srivastav, Chair, Cultural Activities Committee A resident of Shrewsbury Bhavna has been involved with ISW for the past 10 years and served as the Cultural Chair for the past 2 years. With her programs she can make all of us feel that we are still part of India even though we are away . She enjoys cultural events that would exhibit what India and Indians are all about and get a chance to impress that together we can make a difference for us and our children.
Meera Gupta, Chair Religious Committee Meera Gupta is not only an Architect by education but has been an architect also in building the ISW with a new design through her leadership role as a President of this organization for two terms. That engaging herself in the religious activities is her way of serving the almighty Is what Meera believes in. She has been serving ISW for over eighteen years. She is the owner of the company named Innovative Homes.
Shiamin Melville, Chair Cultural School Committee Shiamin has been the Director of the ISW Language & Cultural School for the past 3 years. She started as a volunteer teacher ten years ago. This year the school has over 155 students on Sunday and 45 on Saturdays, registered for classes in Hindi, Tamil, Gujarati, Telugu & Marathi. Shiamin is also actively involved with Northboro Junior Woman’s Club where she was Treasurer for 4 years and also led the Conservation committee. Lakshmi Setty, Member-at-Large As a resident of Shrewsbury, Lakshmi has been a part of the ISW community for many years now. Most of her involvement has been through supporting her children who were active members of the IYG and ISW in the past. She is known by her friends be extremely giving and considerate to those in need. She looks forward to helping ISW with the use of her professional and social skills. . Sushilaa Pathalam, Member-at-Large Sushilaa Pathalam is resident of Shrewsbury and volunteer of ISW for a long time. She would like to enter the Executive Committee so she can be more focused serving ISW. At present she wants to serve as Member-at-Large position. This position will help her in learning about ISW and serving where she can do the best. She would like to bring new ideas to ISW. Sujit Naik, Member-at-Large Sujit Naik is resident of Northborough for last 10 years. He and his wife Rupa have volunteer in several ISW activities. He has two kids, a 7 yr old daughter Eva and 3 yr old son Eshan. Sujit is software development manager at EMC Corporation. Sujit family is very enthusiastic about ISW and in near future would like to serve as Member-at-Large position.
