Hindu American Capitol Hill Leadership Initiative
Are you interested in...
...public policy?
...being a Hindu American advocate?
...buiding an active Hindu American voice in government?
If so, look no further than the Hindu American Capitol Hill Leadership Initiative, an internship program sponsored by the Hindu American Foundation. This is a unique opportunity to spend eight weeks as an intern in a Congressional office between May through June, 2011. You will work in a fast-paced environment where you will experience firsthand the inner workings of our nation’s government.
The internship is unpaid, but HAF will provide you with a stipend to cover your housing costs as well as basic living expenses. Housing arrangements will be made by HAF through the Washington Intern Student Housing (WISH DC).
Prior to the start of the internship, you will spend time in HAF’s training sessions where you will learn how to present Hinduism to the media and policy makers as well as substantive policy issues affecting Hindu Americans.
The internship is open to undergraduates (rising Juniors and Seniors preferred) and graduate students of all majors (including professional graduate degrees).
