As the Boston Celtics battled the Toronto Raptors on January 7th, the India Society of Worcester (ISW) continued the cooperation between the Indian community and the Boston Celtics by organizing the ISW Day with the Celtics at the Garden.
Over 200 members of our community attended the Celtics game. The Celtics presented special recognition to ISW and the pregame show had:
National Anthems by Sudha Lakshmi Rao, Krithi Rao, Raghu Saranathan and Rahul Bharadwaj.
This was followed by two dances. The first one was by a group of dancers under 13 years of ages and choreographed by Mrs. Kanan Sachdeva. Participants included: Aarshiya Sachdeva, Tara K Bhasin, Simren Kaur, Jupna Kaur, Tanvi Malik, Sriya Maguluri, Sarah Siddiqui, Bhargavi Ram, Janani Ram, Aarushi Khamankar, Ria Deshpande and Amber Ali.
The second dance was choreographed by Ms. Mitali Biswas. Participants included: Madhuri Garg, Shivi Garg, Ranita Ghosh, Sneha Hingorany, Santoshi Nadimpalli, Nivedhitha Ramesh, Ramya Tammisetti, Avitree Tobarran, Sabrina Tobarran and Mitali Biswas.
The whole event was made possible due to the tireless effort of ISW President - Ragini Seth, who had organized similar ISW days with the Red Sox and the Celtics last year.
And with the Celtics blowing out the Raptors, it was a win-win for every one involved.
