Udavam Karangal, of USA, a  charity organization for orphanage children  is planning to host their first annual charity poker event during this year Diwali season on November 20th at the Bedford Plaza Hotel. Diwali, as a festival, brings our community closer with friends and families visiting each other and wishing well for a prosperous year ahead. This offers an excellent opportunity for us to think about the plight of the not-so-fortunate back in India and offer any help, small or big, we can, to make this holiday season a joy for the children and adults of Udavum Karangal.

The charity poker event will be a game of Texas Hold’em No Limit. UK USA is planning to host about 100 players, seated 8 per table. This event will be hosted for all donors, experienced and novice poker players and those who have not played poker but are eager to learn the game of skill and chance, with the main purpose of ending the Diwali season having fun and helping a good cause. For donors who have not played poker or who need a refresher, pre-event poker training session are arranged. Seats can be reserved for play as well as for lessons. Exciting prizes and trophies await the winner and runner up. All final table players are awarded gifts and welcome gifts are given to all.
