Kozue Sawame 09/30/2010 The Silk Road Gala 2010 is an annual fund raising benefit for the Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at InterContinental Boston, featuring star chef Ming Tsai, host of public television's Simply Ming, chef/owner of Blue Ginger Restaurant, and cookbook author, as this year’s Gala Chair. Other local celebrity chefs joining Tsai, are Joanne Chang of Myers + Chang and Flour Bakery + Café, Jody Adams of Rialto, Cambridge, Ting San of Oishii Boston, Michael Schlow of Via Matta, Radius and Alta Strada, Jasper White of Summer Shack, and Patricia Yeo of Ginger Park along with Executive Chef Didier Montarou and Chef de Cuisine David Chinta of InterContinental Boston. About the Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence: The mission of the Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence (ATASK) is to provide hope to survivors and prevent domestic violence in Asian families and communities. ATASK is New England’s only provider of linguistically and culturally appropriate services and programs for Asian survivors of domestic violence. For domestic violence victims who are unsafe, helpless and hopeless, ATASK offers a safe haven, help and hope over fear.
