We have worked all summer to raise funds, procure backpacks and supplies and pack them ready for distribution. It is the smiling faces of these children that inspires us to continue this project in future.” says Suren Nannapaneni, the founder of PAL, and a sophomore at Saint Paul’s School in Concord NH.

The Mayor of Worcester City, Mr. Joseph O’Brien attended and distributed backpacks at Union Hill School. He appreciated the PAL team members for their outstanding community service efforts.

About PAL

PAL is a nonprofit organization that is committed to partner with like-minded people for the Advancement of Learning. There are millions of underprivileged children all over the world, who are desperately seeking assistance to a better education and in need of other basic necessities. At the same time there are millions of fortunate people who are kind hearted and can share a little bit of their time and money to help those underprivileged.

This is where PAL comes in to action.  PAL is committed to create a friendly relation between the fortunate and the less fortunate. We are not donors, and the less-fortunate are not the receivers. We are just PALs, lending a hand out to our friends!

PAL’s Goals

1.)    Providing students with the tools that will help them attain an adequate education. (i.e. Scholarships, Books, Backpacks)

2.)    Creating a bridge between the fortunate and the less fortunate as a pal or a friend

Running fundraisers to raise awareness as well as money to support our projects

4.)    Providing Schools with the financial support that is necessary for them to operate

5.)    Renovating schools around the world so that students have proper facilities

About The Founder, Suren Nannapaneni:

After helping some other  nonprofit organization with similar kind of projects in the past few years, I was motivated to do it on my own and help more schools and children. I started the Partnership for the Advancement of Learning shortly known as P.A.L., to help I began fundraising at the beginning of this summer to raise money for this cause.  I emailed and called multiple family friends as well as corporations and local businesses in the hopes of seeking donations.  I successfully raised over $ 10,000 and was able to buy backpacks and supplies for 400 students.  We gathered some volunteers together and packed all 400 backpacks.  We packed the backpacks with pencils, erasers glue sticks, pencil cases and notebooks.
