Saluni Fadia 07/20/2010 Could win an Olympic Medal in 2012! Massachusetts was represented by our Nisreen Bagasra from Concord, who ranked 4th in Women’s Air Pistol with a score of 825.8, missing the bronze medal in a highly competitive event. Bagasra bagged the gold in class A and took the team prize (her team called the “Shooting Starsâ€) by a solid lead of 23 points. Complete match results available at http://www.usashooting.com/results.php Nisreen is an avid shooter who represented Maharashtra and was part of the Indian National Shooting Squad prior to immigrating to the United States. After a six year hiatus, Nisreen decided to pick up on her childhood passion of target shooting. She began competing in Massachusetts in 2008, where she now ranks number 1. Russ Doucette, a nationally acclaimed coach spotted the gifted Nisreen and convinced her to compete nationally. With support and encouragement from her husband; the mother of two young children and a full time sourcing professional, proved her potential by ranking 4th at her very 2nd U.S. Nationals. While Nisreen is aspiring for the 2012 Olympics, she is challenged by the time constraints faced by a working Mom and is looking for corporate sponsorships to keep her on target.
