Saptaswar's "Aate Jate Haste Gate" presented under the banner of United India Association brought to life many of the melodies that made the Khans - Shahrukh Amir and Salman the kings of the Bollywood kingdom.
The event was held on June 27 at the Watertown Middle School in Watertown, MA.

The event open with Saptaswar signature musical introduction that set the stage for what was to be a very entertaining evening. The veterans of Saptaswar Raghu and Sudha opened the program with Main Koi Aisa Geet from Yes Boss. Their synchronized voices and fine chemistry makes all there presentation were tender and memorable.  During the course of the evening they sang many numbers including Bahoon ki Dharmiyan from Khamoshi, Aate Jaate Hanste from MPK, and  Tumse jo dekhte pyar from Pathar Ke Phool, and Mehendi Laga Ke Rekhna from DDLJ.

Sowmya, Vinay Rahul and Mrinalini presented a number of popular songs as solos or duets.  Vinay's Papa Kehte Hain had the whole audience rocking and little children dancing. Rahul was a hit  with his "Aati Kya Kandala ". "If I had to grade this performance for Ada I would give it 200 points" said Arsh Meherotra who served as MCEE for the event.

The  zoobi doobi  number from 3 idots presented by Vinay and Sudha had a large number of the members of the audience dancing.  Sudha and Raghu had a little fun in the number tumse jo dekhte hai pyar hua (which has the names of all the bombay roads mentioned). They did a little twist - towards the end Raghu  stopped Sudha  and says you are mentioning roads in Bombay but we are in Boston - so where in Boston can I meet you - and  Sudha ends up singing the same tune with names of streets in Boston like Beacon, Federal, congress, Mt.Auburn etc etc - it was great fun and the audience really enjoyed that!

The team owed its success in no small measure to the wonderful accompaniment. Christy Mathew (keyboard) on the keyboard,  Hiral Parikh (drums) and
Raj Alur (guitar) gave great support to the singers.

In the true Saptaswar style this show served to entertain and as is characteristic of Bollywood Maya(illusion) the audience forget their daily cares and spent a lovely evening remember the times when Khans were Kings.

Thank you Saptswar for making this happen!
