Sangita Joshi and Megan McAvoy 06/21/2010
The Women Building Connections LAUNCH event was a great success! Over 50 women business owners from MA and RI came together for an evening of networking, learning and fun. The event was hosted and sponsored by The Bulfinch Group, a comprehensive financial services firm located in Needham, MA.
Pavitra Ciavardone, Certified Personal Coach, taught us about resiliency and most importantly, how we can approach life’s transitions with greater confidence and ease. Pause. Surrender the things that you cannot control, trust that you are bigger than yourself, accept the situation and you will learn to be resourceful.
Tammy Lamenzo shared some wonderful knowledge about wine and led a tasting of delicious samplings from her store, Higgins Wine and Spirits / Beverages To Go in Dover, MA.
At Women Building Connections, our mission is to cultivate a community of women so everyone can “Give. Gain. Grow.†Successful women should have the opportunity to meet other successful women, and to contribute to the community by highlighting their business in a creative and fun way.
The energy at this first event was amazing and everyone left feeling excited to be a part of this new community.
A very special thanks to Carolyn VanCott of C VanCott Arts for donating her time and creativity in creating the WBC logo and to Marian Concannon of Cream of the Crop in West Roxbury, MA for our catering (contact: 617-827-3062), as well as Nadine Heaps of Purple Ink Insurance Agency and Karen Argetsinger, Esquire for contributing to the snacks.
About our sponsors: Sangita Joshi and Megan McAvoy of The Bulfinch Group. They provide comprehensive insurance and financial services to individuals, families, and businesses.
