Katrina Kaif is all set to play a female army recruit in her
debut production but contrary to popular belief there is no such confirmation. “There
is no truth to the news that Katrina will be playing an army recruit or that
the film will be on the lines of Private Benjamin. It is too soon to talk about
it as nothing as been finalized as of now, †reveals a source. Reports also claimed that the film in
question based on life in the army will be Katrina's focus over her remake of
the French movie whose rights Katrina purchased. And the news hasn't gone down
well with the Bollywood Diva. “When the time comes an announcement will be made
on the niceties of her debut production project as of now Katrina is just in
talks and toying with ideas. It's pointless speculating over mere rumors,†adds
the source. Confirms Katrina's
spokesperson “Katrina is just going over details and is in talks regarding her
debut production but nothing has been finalized as of now.†"Action Replayy" is Akshay Kumar's first
romantic comedy with Aishwarya Rai and he was blushing through the making of
the retro cool movie. "It is my fifth film with director Vipul Shah and
definitely another one to remember. Ash and I had a brief romantic interlude in
Rajkumar Santoshi's 'Khakee', but 'Action Replayy' is our first romantic comedy
together. Believe me, I was blushing through the making, " Akshay said in
a statement. "There's a lot I wish to tell my audience about. But Vipul
wants me to keep things under wraps for the moment." Akshay says he was
thrilled to be a part of "Action Replayy" that is set in the 1970s
when his father-in-law Rajesh Khanna was hailed as the first superstar. "It's
a very special film for me for many reasons. This is my tribute to the 1970s
that was the greatest retro era. I was kicked with the idea because I'm
entering the time in cinema where my father-in-law was a superstar, " said
Akshay. "Action Replayy" is all about rewinding your life and the
film is said to be high on style quotient and emotionally rewarding too. "It
is a fun-genre romantic film," said Aishwarya. At this very moment Bipasha Basu is going through the
biggest challenge of her career. She has to drop her anglicized-Bengali accent
and diction completely to sound like the Kashmiri Muslim girl she plays in
Rahul Dholakia's Lamhaa. Which is easier said than done. Even when Bipasha had
done a Bengali film, Rituparno Ghosh's Shob Charitra Kalpunik she had been
forbidden by the director from dubbing her own lines although Bengali is her
mother tongue. This time, though, Bipasha was determined to not allow her voice-performance
to suffer on the grounds of her accent. For months the actress has been
secretly practising her lines. And now when the dubbing is finally on, Bipasha
with the help of the sound recordist Manoj Sikka is giving the Urdu her best
shot. According to her director Rahul Dholakia who's constantly supervising
Bipasha dubbing, the actress has made the strongest effort possible to sound
like an authentic Kashmiri – Muslim girl. Hiding from TV cameras behind Katrina Kaif, sketching
funny pictures during a press conference, sharing humorous anecdotes about
"Raajneeti" -- Ranbir Kapoor has been uncharacteristically boisterous
at his recent media events to make the film look youth-friendly. "Prakash
Jha's strategy of taking the political message of 'Raajneeti' to various
educational institutions and on so- called 'serious' public platforms has
Ranbir worried. He doesn't want the audience to think 'Raajneeti' is a
political drama filled with real-life political tensions. Ranbir is employing
every strategy he knows to divert attention from the politics of 'Raajneeti',
" said a close friend of Ranbir. According to the friend, Ranbir wants
"Raajneeti" to be seen as an entertaining follow-up to his earlier
film "Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani". "He knows 'Raajneeti' is
poles apart from 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani'. But he wants the audience to
know it's a very entertaining and watchable drama. Nepali born Indian actress Manisha Koirala is all set to
tie the knot with a Nepali businessman Samrat Dahal. The pretty actress, who
once upon a time, ruled the Bollywood, has finally found her love in Dahal. The
couple will make the holy matrimony official on June 19th in their hometown
Kathmandu. Manisha made her Bollywood debut with Subhash Ghai's 1991 hit
Saudagar. This was followed by a list of critically acclaimed movies such as
Agni Sakshi opposite Nana Patekar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Khamoshi: The
musical for which she won the Filmfare award. You may also access this article through our web-site http://www.lokvani.com/ |
