TiE Boston ( www.boston.tie.org) hosted the TiE CXO Forum’s Technology Innovation Exchange Program event for CIOs and CTOs from large companies located in the New England area. Approximately 20 CIOs, CTOs and senior executives from large corporations such as Bose, EMC Corporation, Fidelity and others met at Holiday Inn in Woburn on March 16, 2010 to hear presentations from leading emerging technology companies in the area of Enterprise Social Media and Cloud Computing. Three enterprise social media companies: Jive Software, Mzinga and Apperian and two cloud computing companies: Apparent Networks and DynaTrace were selected to present to the CIOs. Post the company presentations, the emerging companies and the CIOs were able to network with each other and also hear a presentation from Sanjay Mirchandani, SVP & CIO at EMC, on Cloud Computing and Enterprise Social Media and a talk by Bill Donaldson, VP at Mitre Corporation, on Enterprise Social Media. According to Sanjay Mirchandani, “The event was a great opportunity to connect with my CIO colleagues in New England and learn more about some of the latest social media innovations from emerging local technology companies. I applaud TiE CXO Forum for bringing us together and providing a very worthwhile platform for knowledge sharing.†“The TiE Technology Innovation Exchange Program is one of the value-add events that we are looking to organize annually for CIOs. We are seeking to build other programs that can build a strong CIO community in the New England area so that these large company CIOs can help each other and the New England entrepreneurial community. If you’re a CIO, we encourage you to get involvedâ€, says Alok Prasad, TiE CXO Forum Chairperson. TiE CXO Forum is a Special Interest Group for senior executives from large corporations. The CXO Forum is organized by senior executives for senior executives. These senior executives contribute their time and effort to create and execute value-add programs for the group.
