Satya Mitra, current President of the Indian American Forum for Political Education, was recently sworn in to a five-year term to the  Worcester City Planning Board. The swearing in was coordinated by the Assistant city Clerk. This position involves many developmental aspect of the city.

Mitra is also the founder President of  The Guru Tax and Financial Services which has over 600 clients.  A strong community activist, he has contributed tremendously to several organizations. Under his leadership , the India Society of Worcester grew substantially.

As President of the Indian American Forum for Political Education he strives to create political awareness and activism amongst Indian Americans.  By joining the Planning Board, he is taking his community work to the next well and we are sure that the impact will be tremendous.
