Johnny Lever - A Hit In Boston

It was 8.00 PM at Burlington High school ,on Friday, Sept 11th, on the rainy evening. Over 700 fans of Johnny Lever started singing Johnny Lever !!, Johnny lever !! when Johnny had no option but to come out and acknowledge the love and admiration being showered on him by the audience. His popularity knows no bounds we must say. Johnny Lever came to New England, one of the eight states in USA in his tour, to help support charities organized by various Christian organizations all over the USA this summer. Many volunteers worked tirelessly for over a month to bring the event to Burlington, Boston area.
Having the capability of making people smile, laugh and forget their troubles for the moment, it was all about lightening the mood at the end of the hard work's day. Apna Johnny is one man with many faces! The Comedy King, brought laughter in the air.
The event was organized by New England Indian Christian Fellowship (NEICF) and various Indian Christian organizations. The event was kicked off with an American National Anthem and prayer to pay tribute to the victims of September 11, 2001. The audience participated in singing Indian national anthem to pay respect to our motherland, India. A team of local artists, George Sherring,& Alisha Sherring, Innocent & Elena Sherring, Rajakumari Pereji, Solly kuruvilla,Sanjay Rajwadi,, Fawad Reza, Arun, Vladimir Simon, David & Mary Sarala Nakka, Nilesh & Dimple Master, Steven & Deepti Vuppula, Amos & Anne Kancherla sang Hindi, Gujarati, and Gazals to prepared the stage for Johnny Lever
Johnny started off with his comedy and audience cheered him for his jokes every moment. There was one joke about the bride groom looking for bride without dowry, when people suspected that something must wrong with the man for not taking dowry. Johnny paralleled his show, as it was a Free Event, that people were suspecting there must be something wrong. Johnny simply wanted to share his real joy in his life. Johnny shared that he had made enough money during his tenure in the movie industry and now he wants to give back to the community. He also shared how his life got transformed from drinking, smoking, and an unhappy life once he came to know God personally through Jesus. Johnny shared his personal story of how his son who was diagnosed with tumor, according to doctors, destined to be paralyzed and eventually die was healed by prayers.
