He has represented the Indian NGO sector in the annual meetings to the Board of Governors of the World Bank and the IMF. He is also an advisor to many bilateral and multilateral organizations including the World Bank, DfiF, Sida and SDC. He founded SRIJAN [http://www.srijanindia.org/] a not for profit agency committed to promote rural community institutions to manage water resources and market linked livelihoods. SRIJANites design and implement water resource management and market oriented livelihoods projects for 18000 rural poor families. It has 60 professionals working in eleven districts of three Indian states. It aims to reach and remove poverty among 100,000 families by 2011.
