As one of the rare living Avataras, Sri Swamiji is the Pontiff of Avadhuta Datta Peetham at Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Ashram in Mysore, India. Sri Swamiji is renowned for His Healing and Meditation music and He is considered a divine guide who cultivates the ancient Vedic traditions. He was born fully realized in command of the eight Mahasiddhis (supreme powers) and is a Guru in the Dattatreya Avadhuta lineage. Sri Swamiji honors all religions and teaches that it's possible to reach God by many paths.
Who is Sri Swamiji?
Some of His devotees describe Him as a teacher, Guru, Sadguru, Parama Guru, guide, musician, composer, Ashta Sidhi, Yogi, man of miracles, healer, doctor, yoga man, magician, spiritual leader and simply say Swamiji; other say he follows the Vedic way. Still others say He is a friend, family member; each person has his own way of looking at Him. Every body has his/her own way describing Him depending on their association and experience.
His Holiness Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji of Mysore, one of the greatest spiritual leaders of the present day is an asset to India and the world at large. He is an incarnation of the Great Cosmic Power. Revival of culture, reformation of society and establishing peace and happiness among mankind and transforming them into godly men is his mission. His methods include: establishing Dharma and Bhakti, singing devotional hymns, reciting the names of the Lord Almighty, guiding their devotees to cross the troubled waters in life, teaching love and compassion, and inculcating the masses by instilling into them love of God through chorus singing of Bhajans and listening to his meditation-music.
Sri Swamiji is traveling the world to help seekers discover that everything is God. In Him devotees find compassion, love and divine wisdom as He guides them on the path of Yoga sadhana - to discover and realize their true Self. Sri Swamiji conveys an important part of His message through His music, being noted for His namasankirtan. Sri Swamiji's music is devotional and used for spiritual energy transmission. This great master sings self-composed Bhajans in Sanskrit, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and English and plays Ayurvedic healing ragas on an electronic synthesizer, accompanied by musicians on classical Indian instruments. Devotees around the world claim to have received immense benefit through his concerts, everything from physical healing to spiritual guidance, and great outpourings of divine love.
Activities
It is easier to describe what He does than to say who He is. To begin to know who he is one must experience him; one must adopt the attitude of a seeker of God. Sri Swamiji speaks simply and to the heart in fact He is a silent teacher who teaches through your own love and devotion. To experience Him is to begin to know one's own true self.
* He established Avadhuta Datta Peetham in Mysore in 1965. More than 20 acre Ashram is one of the most beautiful spiritual places to visit and witness the grandeur.
* He conducts Sri Chakra Puja daily and Ganapathi Homa every Sunday irrespective where He stays or travels. Sri Chakra Puja is done to worship the vital Cosmic energy, the divine nature of different manifestations of Devi; and Ganapathi Home to remove the obstacles and for the welfare of living beings.
* He composed more than 10,000 songs on various Gods; He also sings all over the world with the belief that Namasankeertana is the best way to reach God.
* He himself performs almost all the Pujas such as Sivaratri, Ugadi, Krishna Janmashtami, Rama Navami, Ganesh Chaturdhi, Devi Navaratrulu, Datta Jayanthi, etc
* He appears on a number of TV stations such as Gemini, Samskar, Aashta, ETV, Doordarshan, Bhakti, others giving discourses, singing Bhajans, and conducting healing music

In May, at the personal invitation of Swami Ramdev Baba, Sri Swamiji conducted the Concert in Haridwar. In June, He conducted the Musical Concert to IT professional to relieve the stress and pressures.
* Music is used to help people relieve the stress, strain, pressure, tensions; Different Ragas like Kedara, Hindola (with alapana for Akasha tatva - element of space), Brindavani (Vaayu tatva), Kharaharapriya, Sunada Vinodini, Shankarabharana, Hamsanandi et al which are known to have different kinds of vibrations which could impact on the nerves of the human body.
* He visited foreign countries more than 100 times emphasizing the need to bring peace, compassion, tolerance and spirituality among people;
* In His Ashram, He built Lord Dattatreya Temple, Sri Venkateswara Temple along with a large of other Deities; established Bonsai Garden considered the best in South Asia, established Vishwam – one of the best the museum; Ayurvedic and Homeopathi Hospital was started, Herbal Garden was established.
* Nada Mantapam (Music Hall) was built in 1998; accommodates more than 10,000 people, one of it’s kind in Asia; top musicians visit the Ashram and play their music.
* He established more than 50 Temples, Datta Centers; and more than 50 Satsangh groups in India and abroad such as USA, Britain, Denmark, France, Canada, Malaysia, Singapore, Trinidad, Bali, Australia, Switzerland, Germany, etc.
* Number of Social Service Projects are undertaken such as Amma Vodi (Place for destitute women); Vagdevi (School for dump and blind); Medical camps in slums and villages; also provide free ambulances to various cities; donate autos to the select needy people, distribute sewing machines; etc
* Building a large Hanuman Temple in Frisco TX (acquired 10 acre land in 2008), inaugurates 10,000 community Hall(2009) that is equipped with worship services, class rooms for Bala Datta for Children, bookstall, priest quarters, etc
* Datta Retreat Center was established in 1986 in West Sunbury – a sprawling facility for yoga, meditation and spiritual growth on a 20 acre land
* Datta Temple and Hall of Trinity was opened in 1997 in Baton Rouge LA with regular worship services to the installed Deities - Lord Dattatreya and Anagha Devi, Lord Ganapathi and Lord Shiva.
