Anoop Kumar 04/16/2009 (This article is sponsored by Monique Kornfeld, Esq.) Unlike many bollywood actresses who are oftaccompanied by
their mothers on the sets o Asin is often always accompanied by her father on
the sets of the film. Asin’s father Joseph Thottumkal better known as JT is an
exception. He tags along wherever the Ghajini actress goes, including award
functions and product launches. Though JT was managing his own business, as
soon as his daughter shot to stardom, he decided to let go of his
entrepreneurship to manage his daughter’s work. He even accompanies her to all her
foreign shoots and the latest is that he has also shifted based to Mumbai to be
with her. Sources reveals that now when Asin is shooting for her forthcoming
venture Vipul Shah’s London Dreams with Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan, JT was
always around advising his daughter. This did not go down too well with Salman
and he was often irked by the father’s interference. Yet Salman tried being
courteous to him. There was a buzz that Salman has taken a liking to his London
Dreams co-star and has been showering her with gifts. Naturally since Asin’s
father is constantly by his daughter’s side Salman must be finding it a little
difficult to be friendly to her. If all goes well, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan will come
face to face on July 3. The clash is purely professional, what with their
respective films - SRK's DULHA MIL GAYA and Salman's WANTED - hitting the
screens on that Friday. DULHA MIL GAYA producer Viveck Vaswani is eyeing 3rd
July because "July 4 is Independence Day in It’s touted as the biggest hit in the history of Telugu
cinema. And now Arundhati is all set to be remade into Hindi. Many producers
including Ghajini’s Madhu Mantena were vying for the Hindi remake rights. But
the producer of the Telugu producer M. Shyam Prasad Reddy has decided to remake
the film in Hindi. Sonu Sood who played the main antagonist in the Telugu film
and is all set to encore the same part in Hindi, confirms these developments.
Confirming these developments Sood says, “I’m excited because we all worked
very hard on making the Telugu original something special. Lots of producers
wanted to remake it in Hindi. But now the original producer has decided to go for
it. The Hindi Arundhati will be far more expensive and polished. We start
shooting in June. †Now for the most
crucial question. Who plays the central role of Arundhati in this
woman-dominated film? Though no one is willing to commit to any name sources reveal
that the makers of Arundhati were very keen to sign Anushka Sharma who starred
with Shah Rukh Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Akshay Kumar’s next release, Kambakkht Ishq is the remake of
a Tamil film starring Kamal Haasan titled, Pammal K. Sambandam (2002). The
Tamil film was a big hit down South. In that film, Kamal Haasan had played the
title role and it also starred Simran, Abbas and Sneha. Their roles have been
substituted with Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Aftab Shivdasani and Sneha
respectively. It was directed by Mouli. In the Tamil original, Kamal enacted
the role of a film stuntman while Simran was a doctor in the making. In the
Hindi version, Akshay Kumar is a renowned stunt artiste while Kareena Kapoor
plays a super model. Pammal K. Sambandam was to have been remade in Hindi by
Anees Bazmee for South producer GV Films which had acquired the remaking rights
for Rs. 5 lakh. However, Sajid paid Rs. 75 lakh for the same remaking rights.
Reportedly, Sajid Nadiadwala has spared neither efforts nor money in remaking
the South hit. Govinda of late it is said has become a religious fanatic
and has been visiting shrines putting his shoots in disarray. He has also feels
that disclosing his visits to the shrines will bring some bad omen. Recently
the actor made the officials stop all the devotees from entering the temple
where he was visiting. The actor when quizzed about it says “Yes it is true I
do not people to know that I am visitng a shrine but not for any other reason
but because there could be a stampede. I am a religious fanatic I have great
faith in god and I perform a lot of pujas. These moments and trips are good way
of being close to god. It is a also a time when I can be with my family.†Says
Govinda. About his forthcoming films he says “Currently I am busy with David
Dhawan’s Do Knot Disturb. I enjoy working with
him and I owe him a lot of hits. When we work together it is assured that it is
going to be a laugh riot. Then I have Life Partner with Rumi Jaffrey and Manish
Gupta’s Chai Garam.†You may also access this article through our web-site http://www.lokvani.com/ |
