Each of the 300 Intel STS semifinalists receives $1,000 with an additional $1,000 to their respective school, resulting in $600,000 in total awards
Ramesh Govindan of Bolton Ma was the only Indian American from Massachusetts to win this honor.
Worcester County Superintendents’ Association Certificate of Academic Excellence
The 2008-2009 Worcester County Superintendents’ Association Certificate of Academic Excellence has been awarded to Ramesh Govindan. The annual award is presented to a student from each Worcester County public high school district who is not only outstanding academically but has also left their mark on the school in a variety of extra-curricular and service activities. Ramesh is a commended student in the 2009 National Merit Program and is a member of the National Honor Society. Through NHS he has participated in a variety of service related activities. In addition, he has been a contributing member of our Jazz Band and captain of the Cross-Country team. It is a great honor and one that is reflective of the hard work that Ramesh and so many students undertake in their time at NRHS. Congratulations.
