Inc. Magazine recently included Leader Bank, N.A. in its annual ranking of the 5000 fastest-growing private companies in the country and the top 100 businesses in Massachusetts. 2008 marks the second year that Inc. Magazine has gone past its traditional Top 500 list, digging deeper "to offer the most comprehensive look ever at the entrepreneurial engine driving the U.S. economy," according to the publication. Companies on the Inc. 5,000 are ranked by percentage revenue growth from 2004 through 2007. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by the first week of 2004, and therefore able to show four full calendar years of sales, with a minimum of $200,000 revenue in 2004 and $2 million in 2007. Additionally, all eligible companies were required to be U.S.-based, privately held, and independent as of December 31, 2007.
