Deepika Padukone, who's shooting in China, is doing the second double-role of her brief career. After playing Shah Rukh Khan's love interest twice-over in Om Shanti Om, she's back doing a double role in Nikhil Advani's Chandni Chowk To China. Advani isn't revealing the exact nature of Deepika's role. "It'd be a very different double role from Om Shanti Om," Advani laughs.  So strange that she's 4 and one-third characters old in just three films. I'm talking about the double roles in Om Shanti Om, Chandni Chowk... and Bachna Ae Haseenon where she shares her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor with Bipasha Basu and Minissha Lamba.

Harman has been taking the comparisons with his senior Hrithik Roshan on his chin. At his music launch last week when someone shouted 'Hey Hrithik' at him from the crowds Harman smiled and said, "Can't help the way I look. It's what my parents gave me." The Bawejas have decided to avert any more comparisons with the Krissh star and also to curb the unnecessary digs about Harman's glamorous girlfriend. Since it was felt that Harman even sounded like Hrithik, Harman's dubbing for Love Story 2050 is being done under strict supervision by a female voice expert who sits in with Harman. "She listens to every word that Harman dubs. And if anywhere he sounds like anyone else, she immediately corrects him and makes him re-do the dialogues. For this reason Harman's dubbing in Love Story 2050 has taken a painfully long time No actor has taken so long to complete his dubbing. A month away from release and Harman is still dubbing!" Says a source close to the Bawejas, "Harman is not the least conscious or worried about all the comparisons with Hrithik. They started when Harry Baweja decided to launch his son in a futuristic film. Everyone jumped to the conclusion that it was another Krissh. Then to make the comparisons even stronger there was the Kareena Kapoor factor. She had opted out of Hrithik Roshan's Kaho Na…Pyar Hai after a few days of shooting. The same happened with Harman's Love Story 2050." More worrisome to Harman is the way Priyanka Chopra's presence in his life is being seen as a calculated move to gain mileage for the film.

Young and chirpy actress Ayesha Takia considers Nagesh Kukunoor's 'Dor', a poignant tale of two women, as the path-breaking film of her career. She says after the movie, people started taking her seriously as an actor.  'After 'Dor', viewers showed the confidence that I could play serious roles too and so I was offered roles in films like 'Eight By Ten' and 'Wanted' and many other big movies,' Ayesha told. Ayesha is on the verge of completing another Kukunoor film titled 'Eight By Ten'.  'Ten days of shooting is left. It also stars Akshay Kumar,' said Ayesha who plays Akshay's wife in the supernatural thriller. Her next release is 'De Taali', which will be showcased at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards, starting June 6 in Bangkok. Talking about the film, the dimpled actress said: 'The character is totally in contrast to what I am in actual life. I play Ammu who is a complete tomboy. She is a complete brat and grows up with Aftab Shivdasani and Reitesh Deshmukh. She does what normally guys do.'

There may be rumors around the release date of Ghajini being changed from 2nd October to a later day.  One of the sources says,  "There is no way how Ghajini could make it to 2nd October. Ok, so it is a great time for release but then the film hasn't managed to make  a kind of progress which would enable it to be ready for release on 2nd October. Aamir Khan has gone through quite a few accidents, minor as they may be, but all of that has adversely affected the film's progress." Is the competition getting too heavy on 2nd October? "It would be laughable to insist that competition would make Aamir move his film to a later date", quips the trade expert, "If Ghajini was ready then it would have scared all the other film makers who are bringing their films on 2nd October and not Aamir Khan.

It seems to be the season of Bollywood celebrities making their foray on the small screen! Close on the heels of superstar Shah Rukh Khan's new innings on small screen as host of 'Kya Aap Panchvi Pass Se Tez Hain', yesteryear's diva Tanuja, along with her daughter Kajol and son-in-law Ajay Devgan appearing as judge of 'family dance' show 'Rock N Roll Family', glamour girl Urmila Matondkar hosting the family musical reality show 'Waar Parivar', veteran Bollywood actor Shatrughan Sinha is all set to regale television audience as judge of the fourth edition of the 'Great Indian Laughter Challenge', the popular comedy reality show on Star One. The yesteryear's Bollywood 'action hero'-turned-MP has been invited to be the judge of the popular reality show, to be aired on Sony Entertainment television from today, along with the 'Baadshah of Comedy' Navjot Singh Sidhu. For the actor-turned-MP, however, being a judge on a television reality show is not exactly a transition from the big screen to its smaller version. ''For me, doing a show on television is just an extension of my passion for the field of entertainment. In any case, I do not see television as something that needs to be shied away from, especially in today's times when it has a very wide reach. Infact, being a part of television today is a matter of pride. Films may have a huge impact on the audiences but it is television that has a far wider reach. And, what better way of being a part of televisin than doing something that helps relieve people out of their day-to-day stress,'' says Sinha.
