Sharda Kapoor Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother Sharda Kapoor passed away on April 30, 2008 at Faulkner Hospital. Born in Mandi, H.P. India on September 18, 1920, she was a resident of Newton for more than 20 years. She was married to late Mr. Shadilal Kapoor. She was a spiritual person and had wisdom and abiding love for her family and friends. Her life was a teaching gift. She was a great judge of human nature and helped many friends and family. She was a great role model for her family and loved her daughter and her two daughters-in-law equally. She had a peaceful nature and tremendous capacity for tolerance. Many adored her charming smile and her beautiful skin. Her family and friends in India, here and abroad will miss her. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Drs. Chander and Onaly Kapasi and their family, her sons and daughters-in-law, Mr. Prem Prakash Kapoor and Mrs. Karuna Kapoor, Mr. Pushap Raj Kapoor and Mrs. Pratibha Kapoor and their respective family as well as all family and friends here, in India and abroad. Her pre-cremation service and tribute to her life was held on May 01, 2008 at Lehman and Reen Funeral Home in Brighton, MA. Family and friends alike expressed moving eulogy to a gathering of 300 well-wishers that had gathered to pay a parting tribute to her. A traditional Hindu cremation ceremony was held on May 02, 2008 at the Newton Cemetery. A spiritual lunch gathering convened on May 03, 2008. Her children dispersed her ashes in the sea here in the United States and her nephews, Mr. Om Malhotra and Yoginder Kapoor carried her ashes to Haridwar, India and dispersed them in the Ganges River on Budh Purnima.
