Koundinya Singaraju 12/10/2007 Dr. Nagagopal Venna, MD, MRCP (I), MRCP (UK) was honored in October
2007 with the Brian McGovern Award for Clinical Excellence at the
Annual Physician Recognition Dinner of The Massachusetts General
Physicians Organization and attended by about 600 physicians. This
group represents nearly 2100 physicians from a wide range of medical
specialties at the Massachusetts General Hospital, the main teaching
hospital and medical institution of Harvard Medical School, Harvard
University. The award recognizes commitment to clinical excellence and
patient-centered care. The citation was read by the Dr. Anne Young,
Chief of the Neurology Department: “Dr. Venna is incredibly well-read,
erudite, knowledgeable and he likes to teach. His experience in even
the rarest clinical cases is tremendous and he makes the diagnosis of
the rare syndromes seem easier than it is for anyone else. He is one of
the great teacher-clinicians. In the Clinic every single patient who is
seen is discussed in detail with something interesting emerging even in
the most routine cases. He is the doctor that you want your ill family
member to see. He is the sage whom you want to discuss your case with.
Every single interaction with him leads to an insight into the patient
or yourselfâ€. You may also access this article through our web-site http://www.lokvani.com/ |
