Please join your fellow devotees for Lord Siva Worship and Rudra Parayanam at the Sri Lakshmi Temple basement starting Sunday, Nov 11. This Vedic function will be conducted by Sri Venkateswara Sarma, esteemed priest at Sri Lakshmi temple, and is a private puja through individual sponsorship. Please plan to attend every evening at 5:30 PM during Karthika Masa (5:00 PM on weekends) including the all day ceremony on Amavasya day, Dec 9, 2007.
Program during the Nov 11-Dec 8 period includes the following:
• Lord Shiva Abhishekam
• Mahanyasam, Rudram-Chamakam Parayanam (one rendition)
• Lord Shiva Archana, Arati
• Prasadam distribution
On Dec 9, the grand finale will be held between 9:00 AM – 4 PM. Program that day includes:
• Lord Shiva Homam
• Lord Shiva Abhishekam
• Mahanyasam, MahaRudram (11 renditions)
• Lord Shiva Archana, Arati
• Prasadam distribution
If you wish to sponsor, daily sponsorship of the puja starts at $500. This donation would primarily cover the daily cost of leasing the basement, based on charges set by temple operations. All checks should be written to Sri Lakshmi Temple (In memo line write: Karthik Masa Linga Abhishekam). Sri Sarma has made arrangements for the saatvik preparation of the sponsored Prasadam.
