Dear Reader

School is in session and between back to school nights and orientation it is also the time to catch up with some community events geared not only for entertainment but good causes. We are happy to announce that Dr Arora who was featured in the last issue emerged one of the three winners for his project ‘Echo’. Thank you Lokvani readers for your support and we wish Dr Arora all the best.

We also take some time to reflect on two tragedies – one is the bombing in Hyderabad and the other is the outbreak of Cholera in Eastern India. We hope that people and the community all over will come together as one and alleviate sufferings such as these.

 Finally a note of optimism. Participate in large numbers on the fundraising and awareness walks coming up in New England, the  concerts of Udavam Karangal, Mridangam of Mani Iyer and other worthy events. Arts, culture, literature and politics, we New Englanders thrive in such activities
