TiE Boston is actively sourcing Life Sciences and Technology companies seeking first or second round of venture capital funding to present to invited venture capitalists on Thursday, June 14th , 2007 at TiECON East 2007. The first step to this process is submitting an executive summary.
What will excite the investor in your executive summary? Here are some tips:
- Length: keep the summary to 2 or 3 pages ( maximum of 5 )
- Content : must be clean, crisp and to the point.
- Format :
- A quick overview of market need and how this opportunity is fulfilled.
- Explain the main market drive, size and growth of the company.
- Specify how the opportunity has a competitive advantage and value proposition.
- Provide a brief description of the background of the Team.
- Explain how much you are seeking in funding.
- Include a 5 year financial projection if possible.
Deadlines for submitting executive summaries is May 23, 2007
Requirements for consideration:
- Companies should be seeking Series A or Series B financing (ideally $2-5M+)
- Companies with no revenues should have breakthrough technologies in large growing markets($1B) and good customer traction
- Funding consideration open to all companies – TiE and non TiE members
- Companies should be located in the northeast: New England, NY,NJ,PA and/or Eastern Canada
