Veena-Venu-Violin Concert

The world of Music is such a fathomless ocean that no one can claim total mastery of it as a performer, as a musicologist and/or as a rasika. Albeit no one has reached the heights there are many a number of artists who delight us audience with their great performances – taking us the rasikas to heights of ecstasy, delight, soulfulness, and spirituality.  When artists experience the pure joy and eternity of it all and share it with us that leads us to an altogether different plane of pure happiness and peace.  Musicologists embellish the already adorned beauty of Music.  It is of course no doubt in anyone’s mind that Rasikas play a significant part in the growth and development of the artists.

As New Englanders we are indeed very fortunate to have such great artists among us – devoted, passionate, involved, willing to contribute to the society, and above all love Music for the sake of Music.  YCEP a cultural wing of NEHTI has stepped forward to bring such great talents together to provide a symbiotic experience to its community.  Revathi Ramasamy (Veena), Raman (Flute), Tara Bangalore (Violin), and the Mridangam experts Pravin Sitaram, Gaurishankar, and Mali immediately bought the idea. They eagerly and enthusiastically agreed to make this a reality.  This culmination and synchronization of excellent, high caliber talents will definitely be  a memorable and unforgettable one.

"Each one of these artists is brilliant in their own right and we can only expect magic when they perform together" says K.G Narayana who is the chairman of the YCEP for the temple. "The event is a fundraiser for the temple.  In the past we have held such programs with the local dancers coming together. By the grace of Mahalakshmi , these events have been extremely successful. "

A Veena-Venu-Violin concert is the first of its kind event in N.E. area.
"These events are ususally extremely well attended and I urge rasikas to reserve their seats in advance". The event is schedule to be on March 4th at Keefe Tech Auditorium.  For more details go to http://srilakshmi.org/VVV_ycep_event1.aspx .
