(This article is sponsored by Monique Kornfeld, Esq.) Hritik’s return in Krrish with
spectacular stunts proves that Bollywood is no less than
Hollywood. Krrish was one of the most awaited film of the year
and comeback film after Farhan Akthar’s Lakshya two years
ago. It is the third film made by the Roshan father-son
jodi, after the box office superhits, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai and Koi...

Going by the dismal fate of the
latest Rock Stars concert abroad, it may be a long time before any
organizer or Bollywood celebrity dares venture into a world tour. The
last stop for the Rock Stars entourage - Salman Khan, John Abraham,
Mallika Sherawat, Shahid Kapur and Kareena Kapoor - last week turned
out to be a nightmare that the stars aren't likely to forget. "The show
at Wembley in London had to be cancelled because there was hardly
anyone there to see so-called Rock Stars. 500-600 people
turned up to watch great entourage.
As popular Bollywood playback singer
Udit Narayan is keen to arrive at a compromise with a woman who claims
to be his first wife, Bihar state women's commission Wednesday gave him
more time to depose before it to respond to her charges. Udit Narayan
Wednesday failed to appear before the commission for the fourth time in
two months after the commission registered a case of breach of marriage
against him and issued a notice on the basis of a complaint filed by
Ranjana Narayan in April. Ranjana, a resident of Nirmali village in
Supaul district, claimed that she is the first wife of the popular
singer. According to her, they had married in 1984 and his second wife
Deepa Narayan was not his legal wife. Udit Narayan, on his part,
has denied Ranjana's allegation. He has told media that he did not know
"any Ranjana Narayan" and had never married her, saying it was a
conspiracy to defame him.
Saif and Rosa always seemed like a
cozy couple to everyone but now we hear that Chote Nawab is getting
insecure about his lady love. Saif has also recently been seen
alongside girlfriend Rosa in an advertisement. The beautiful Italian
model Rosa has been offered quite a few ad films; unfortunately Saif
does not seem too happy about his sweetheart getting involved in the
glam industry. Even though he has studied abroad and is very liberal in
attitude, in his heart of hearts he continues to be a traditional
Indian male who would want his girl to stay away from the
glare-of-the-world. However Rosa seems in no mood to comply
and is quite interested in being a part of bollywood.
The Pakistani embassy in New Delhi has
cancelled veteran Bollywood lyricist and writer Javed Akhtar's
visa. Akhtar was to be a part of a 20-member Bollywood delegation
who were to attend a television channel's show in Pakistan in aid of
earthquake victims. " I don't know the reason why my visa was
canceled," said a bemused Akhtar. Among the many other members whose
visas were accepted were Saif Ali Khan, Shabana Azmi and Urmila
Matondkar. "I was singled out and the best person to answer
this question (why his visa was cancelled) would be the Pakistan
foreign office," said Akhtar. All other members of the delegation have
decided to cancel their visit after this move, as they felt it was
wrong for the Pakistan government to cancel Akhtar's visa.
A local court in Madurai has issued
arrest warrants against Bollywood actresses Shilpa Shetty and Reema Sen
in connection with the publication of their 'obscene' pictures in a
Tamil eveninger. City Judicial Magistrate Elangovan has directed
the Mumbai police commissioner to arrest the actresses as early as
possible and produce them in court. Dakshninammorthy, a city based
advocate, had filed a case against the actresses, and Murugan, the
editor of Tamil Murasu, for publication of the 'obscene' pictures, thus
violating laws including Section 109 of the Indian Penal Code (Indecent
representation of women), The actresses, through their lawyers,
contended that they were not in a position to come to the court as they
were busy shooting. They also claimed that they were not aware of the
pictures published in the eveninger without their permission.
Protestors belonging to Christian
organizations staged a noisy demonstration in front of Prasad's IMAX
theatre in Hyderabad and broke the booking counter's glass panes,
forcing the management to stop screening the controversial film The Da
Vinci Code on Friday afternoon. A group of 50 volunteers of All
India Christian United Front gathered in front of the theatre, holding
placards and raising slogans. Theatre management cancelled the show
that was to begin at 3.15 pm. Incidentally, Prasad's IMAX was the only
theatre to start showing the film today, as other theatres in the city
and elsewhere in the state could not take up screening at short
notice
