(This article is sponsored by Monique Kornfeld, Esq.) A bad news for all Aishwarya fans. The
stunning beauty has been diagnosed with Laryngitis and couldn't speak a
word after her return from the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth
Games in Australia. Aishwarya Rai along with other Bollywood
stars had joined hands with Indian sporting icons in inviting the world
to Delhi for the Commonwealth Games in 2010 in a 11-minute programme in
Melbourne. After
Asoka, Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor will be seen together for the
first time in Ram Gopal Varma’s film on time travel, titled ‘Time
Machine’. Ramu and SRK had been in to do a film together, but
unfortunately, things had not worked out. However, this time everything
seems to be sorted out and the King Khan and Varma will definitely be
working together. Kareena is also doing a cameo in another SRK film
‘Don’, where she plays the role of Helen. Saif
Ali Khan, who has danced his way to Australian history with his
perfomance in Commonwealth Games has become the first Indian to feature
on a postage stamp published in Australia. The 50-cent stamp
starring Saif is among those released on March 27. It shows him on
stage in a green kurti with other dancers. Saif was part of a
contingent from Bollywood featuring other industry heavyweights like
Rani Mukherjee and Aishwarya Rai. They have had no such luck, though. "Oh
god! It's still not sinking in. It has to sink. It has to sink," were
among the first few words Miss India Universe 2006 Neha Kapur said when
she won the most coveted crown. Twenty two year old Miss India Universe
Neha Kapur who hails from Delhi learnt classical dance forms when she
was very young. She has four years of training in Bharatnatyam and
eight years in Kathak. Ram
Gopal Varma is remaking Sholay, David Dhawan will remake Amar Akbar
Anthony, Farhan Akhtar is remaking Don...Now, it's the turn of the 1975
hit Jai Santoshi Maa to be remade. Titled Maa Santoshi Maa, the
Percept Picture Company has bought the rights from Satram Rohra, the
producer of the earlier film. After
hot-hot Mallika Sherawat and Aishwarya Rai, it's Preity Zinta and Karan
Johar's turn to walk red carpet at the prestigious Cannes Film
Festival. “It is an honour to represent your country at the global
platform. Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan had also attended the film
festival earlier,†says Preity. After
successfully romancing Hema Malini in "Baghban", Bollywood icon Amitabh
Bachchan will now woo Tabu in "Cheeni Kum" - the directorial debut of
Lintas creative director Balakrishnan. Paresh Rawal plays Tabu's father
and Zohra Sehgal essays the role of Bachchan's mother. Sunil Manchanda
is the producer of the film which will see southern maestro Ilayaraja
score the music.
