Rajkumar Santoshi, one of Bollywood's most versatile directors, is ready with his latest action film, "Family - Ties Of Blood" starring Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar.
"Family" brings together Bachchan and Akshay Kumar for the seventh time. They appeared together in - "Ek Rishta", "Aankhen", "Khakee", "Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyo", "Khakee" and "Waqt: Race Against Time". The director has not given any mega hit in recent times and is banking upon Bachchan to bail him out. Bachchan Tuesday tendered a written apology after receiving a legal notice for featuring on a film's poster with a cigar in his hand. "I am deeply apologetic of the advertisement that has hurt the sentiments of the people at large and organisations such as yours," Bachchan said in a letter to the National Organisation for Tobacco Eradication (NOTE), the anti-tobacco group that had served him the notice last week.

Kareena Kapoor who has done about 30 films in her four year film career, has decided to become choosy about her roles.''I have decided to work on my own terms and conditions and not do films just for the sake of it. I have done enough run-of-the-mill roles and now I am going to do stuff that excites me professionally,'' Kareena whose next release Dosti - Friends Forever will be released on December 23, told a news agency in Mumbai on Saturday. ''Early 2006 will see me in '36, China Town' with Shahid and Akshaye Khanna ,'' she said.
