More than 200 people were present at the ‘New Year’s Eve Gala’ at Hellenic Center in Watertown on December 21, 2005.  Non-stop Entertainment from DJ Ricky, delectable  hors’d oeuvres, prizes and mid-night celebrations were highlights of the evening.

The party began at 8:00PM; the guests received a warm welcome at the reception desk and were directed to marked tables.  A variety of hors’d oeuvres ranging from Kachori chat to chili paneer to Kababs were available.  The dance floor was ready for those who had the dinner.

Music from DJ Ricky kept the adrenaline high through the night.  Appropriate mixing and collection of songs led everybody to the dance floor.  Dance game was organized to involve everybody.  Prizes were distributed to the winners and several other prizes were distributed.

Just before the stroke of twelve, there was the count down for New Year 2006.  Bottles of champagne were opened and first drink for the year was enjoyed.  There was cheesecake and ice-cream to start the New Year with sweets. 

Kids were not left alone; they were taken care in a special room next door.  Supervised activities for kids included magic show, arts and crafts, karaoke, etc. They even had a mini food court, a pop corn machine and a movie lounge.

Geeta Singhani of Jashn Event Planners was the person responsible for the planning the celebration.  Her event planning experience helped in making the event memorable everybody. Part of the proceeds was donated to Earthquake victims in Southeast Asia.
