New England Malayalee Association Celebrates Christmas With Renowned Movie Stars And Playback Singers

For the first time in the history of New England, we have large group of renowned movie stars, play back singers, and mimicry artists coming to
Boston to perform a three-hour program. The group includes renowned
movie stars Bhoban Kunchako, Kavya Madhavan, and Cochin Haneefa, well
known playback singers Biju Narayanan and Jhotsana, mimicry artist
Kottyam Naseer, and other artists, consisting of total eighteen in the
group. New England Malayalee Association proudly takes this opportunity to invite you to our programs this year, and we also wish to inform you about recent changes we have made to maintain our rich programs and to support our growing organization. This year! we are celebrating our Christmas/New Year on Saturday, December 3, at 4:00 p.m. at the Marlborough Middle School, 25 Union Street, Marlborough, MA. Kunchacko Boban, the favorite star of Kerala college campuses, started his career with the movie Aniyathipravu and played in hit movies like Niram,
Narendran Makan Jayakandan vaka, Swapnakoodu, Niram, Dost,
Kalyanaraman and Kasturimaan, Jalotsavam' Hridayathil Sookshikkan,
Iruvattam Manavatty, and Priyam, Two Wheeler. Kavya
Madhavan entered the film indus! try as a child artist. As an
artist, she played first in Kama l's film, Pookalam Varavayi. Kavya's
innocent looks and big beautiful eyes captured the hearts of Malayalee
movie directors and theater-goers. She has since acted as a child
artist in many films. Kavya recently received the Kerala State
award for the best actress for her performance in the movie
Paerumazhakalam. She had previously earned the Film Critics Award
2000 for second best actress (Chandranudhikkunna Dikkil) and the Kerala
Film Audience Award 2003 for best Actress (Oomapenninu Uriyadapayan).
Kavya is equally accepted in Tamil as well. Kasi, her first film in
Tamil, became a successful film. Jotsana and Biju
Narayanan , the top playback singers of the younger generation in
Kerala ,doesn't need any narration. A group of Mimicry artists lead by
Kotayam Nazeer, a leader of mimcry artists, will evoke the audience
with spontaneous laughter with their own style of humor. Along with this unusual program of entertainment, we will have our local artists performing in our Christmas choir, a Christmas play, Margam Kali,
and few other group items. The NEMA committee would like to remind
parents to bring gifts for their children to leave under the NEMA
Christmas tree at the event. In this way, with children's names
on the packages, Santa will easily identify the appropriate surprises for each child. Traditional Christmas non-vegetarian and vegetarian dinners, along with your favorite homemade fruitcake, will be served during intermission.
