Indian Association Of Merrimack Valley Celebrates Diwali Mela

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Indian Association of Merrimack
Valley (IAMV). IAMV will celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights, with
a fair “Mela†on November 19th, 2005 at North Andover High School from
4 PM to 10 PM. This Mela will feature vendors reflecting the
various food styles of India, games for children, Indian crafts,
painting, jewelry, costumes and Henna painting. There will be
continuous stage programs that include two dance competitions, Bhangra
dance performance and performances by local artists. Live orchestra
will be provided by the professional group “Yaadeinâ€. This group has
been performing since 1999 in the New England area. Amongst singers are
two special guests Vinay Mishra and Manju Abraham. IAMV
is an association dedicated to preserving the customs and rich heritage
of India through cultural and social activities. For more information
