(This article is sponsored by Monique Kornfeld, Esq.) Aishwarya Rai has toned her body to play a Byzantine warrior in an
upcoming film. The delicate Aishwarya Rai, who’s limited herself
to playing ‘girlie’ roles in Hindi films - now playing a Byzantine
warrior? But Ash has obviously taken the task to heart. She is working
hard at her body to suit the character Mira that she’s playing in The
Last Legion, which is an epic adventure based on Valerio Massimo
Manfredi’s novel of the same name. The story is set against the fall of
the Roman Empire in 470 AD and its last emperor, 12-year-old Romulus
Augustus. Aamir Khan will play a negative role in his new film
for Yashraj Films keeping up his reputation that he never repeats his
characters. He is going to be cast as a terrorist who falls in love
with a beautiful Kashmiri girl played by Kajol. The director is
unwilling to reveal the story in detail but promises that with a June
2006 release in mind, he will start shooting very soon. Another
extraordinary talent in the movie is going to be Tabu.
Bollywood lockbuster Jism surprisingly made it onto a UK list of the
100 Greatest Sexy Moments captured on film. The flick made in 2003
features Bollywood babe Bisphasu Basu and her on-screen and real life
beau model-turned actor John Abraham in a torrid coupling between a
murderess and rich self-destructive playboy. By Indian standards
it is extraordinarily explicit, in one scene, John’s character is
seen playing with ice on Bipashu’s semi naked body.
Bollywood, Politics and bhai’s always seem to have some
mysterious connections. A footage of Govinda and a Congress MP in close
company with Dawood Ibrahim was telecasted on Wednesday night on a
private television channel. It was not clear when the footage had been
shot, but it seems to be pre-1993 shooting, as Dawood was shown with
other gangsters who fell out after 1993 Mumbai serial bombings.
Govinda claimed that the CBI had investigated the tape long ago
and had given a clean chit to him. “I am not the Badshah of
the film industry. I am only a member. Shahrukh Khan is the Badshah,"
Bachchan told the 'Seedhi Baat' programme on Aaj Tak on Sunday night.
"The entire world considers him the Badshah. His films are the most
successful," he said about why he felt Shahrukh was the number one
star. Amitabh celebrated his 63rd birthday on October 11th
with hordes and hordes of fans standing outside his bungalow till
3 in the morning, refusing to budge After her traumatic
stalker experience in Mauritius recently, actress Celina Jaitley has
resorted to personal security measures in a bid to keep such incidents
at bay in the future. The actress, who lives alone in Mumbai, has hired
a sturdy personal security guard to accompany her around the clock.
It’s been three weeks now and Jaitley says it has helped her get over
her “shaken state.â€
The Megastar of Telugu cinema, Chiranjeevi , has turned to Tollywood
topper Trisha Krishnan to pep up his reel life. Chiru has been passing
through an indifferent time in his filmy career with the flop of his
latest film ‘Antharivadu’. Chiranjeevi seems to have opted for
Trisha as she is the reigning queen in Tollywood right now.
