Global Peace Secretariat presents Molly Mac Gregor with Special Citation for Women's History Month

 

March being Women's History Month, Global Peace Secretariat presented Ms. Molly Murphy Mac Gregor, who led the charge and was responsible with other activists to make March as National Women's History Month in 1987 with President Reagan signing it into law.

 

" In my journey on women's rights, I hit pay dirt when I spoke to Molly about her incredible journey and experiences as a woman going back into the 60's. What an honor and pride to know the person who changed women's role in history forever".... Secretary General Kumu Gupta.

 

Molly Murphy MacGregor is one of the co-founders of the National Women's History Project,  now known as the National Women's History Alliance . Molly co-founded the National Women's  History Project in 1980 with several other women in order to promote awareness about women's history throughout the United States. They successfully lobbied Congress to pass a joint resolution recognizing women's history month in 1987.


The National Women's History Alliance (NHWA) formerly, the National Women's History Project, is a leader in promoting Women's History and is committed to the goals of education, empowerment, equality and inclusion.
