Amma's Daily Rangolis
by Geetha Patil

Rangoli patterns are often made during festival and special events like weddings, religious celebrations and other socio-cultural occasions. At these times, families make their own Rangoli patterns to display their happiness, positivity and liveliness of their household. Rangolis are intended to enlighten and to welcome the goddess and good luck to the household. Mothers in India do this activity every morning and teach Rangoli to their daughters.

Rangoli is an art form used by people in Bharat. It is a type of floral decoration drawn on the ground or sidewalk in front of a house. People draw both traditional and modern free hand Rangolis. You can draw these Rangolis on the occasion of Ugadi festival.
