TANE USA And NETA Celebrate Diwali

Deepavali Dham Dhamaka celebrated jointly on November
20th by NETA(New England Telugu Association ) and TANE-USA(Telugu
Association of North East USA) turned out to a total entertainer. The
public response was overwhelmingly impressive with over 500 New
Englanders turning out to watch the dhamaka. It was a festive
atmosphere at Stony Brook school, with booths to sell Indian decorative
items, DVDs, Indian spices, Bakery fast food items. The phenomenal
voluntary work, coupled with crisp stage management gave a professional
touch to the event. A lot of kids and adults participated in the
cultural event. The Master of Ceremonies Smt. Vahini Kuppa
made it an event to remember for a long time with her timely comments
and chaste telugu. There were classical and movie group dances, fancy
dress for kids, Bala lahari program, an excellent dance item
presented by ‘NARTHANAM’ school of dance by students of Smt. Kiranmayi
Totapally. Ghantasala/SPB song ‘Prathirathri
Vasantharathri’ was very well sung by Mr. Srinivas Bala and Mr.
Srinivas Loke Amalapuram Dance from Arya movie performed by Priyanka
Mogilicherla was well recieved by Audience. A parody of old ghantasala
sad songs was presented by Mr. Madhu Chary. ‘Surprise program
by Seniors’ done by Vahini Kuppa and University of New Hampshire
Students was the highlight of the evening. Mr. Subbu Kota and Mr.Ranjan
Vadlapatla presented certificates to the participants and also
conducted the lucky dip draw and gave away several DVDs to the lucky
audience. Mr. Ranjan Vadlapatla, President TANE-USA thanked the
audience for strongly supporting TANE-USA and NETA.,and also TANE USA
team members Dr.S.N.Rao,Madhu Chary,Ram Bandreddi,Chaganti Srinivas
,K.P.Sompally,Lakkireddy,Shekar Vemuri and NETA team members Sudhakar
Tadeplli, Sukanya Tadepally, Naveen Kota, Ravi Tangirala and other
volunteers for their tireless effort to make this event a grand success.
Mr.Kota Subbu , Chairman The Boston Group and Mr. Ranjan Vadlapatla
were felicitated by NETA Team with shawls for their outstanding
contribution to the community. Mr. Ranjan spoke about several
major events to be conducted in the Boston area in the next few months,
including a hi-tech multi-media special effects show ‘Tirumala
Vaibhavam’. He said the Boston area will be continued to be enriched by
programs such as this event. Mr. Murali Kuppa of NETA stressed the need
for parent al involvement to make sure kids learn the telugu
language. Hot breads served decent and tasty Indian food to suite
the festive occasion. The program ended with vote of thanks by Murali
Kuppa followed by Indian national anthem.
