ISW Harvest Festival 2025: A Tribute to India’s Cultural Diversity
The India Society of Worcester (ISW) is excited to announce its annual Harvest Festival, a grand celebration of India’s diverse regional harvest traditions. The event will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Saint John's High School Auditorium, 378 Main St, Shrewsbury, MA.
This year, the festival will honor the richness and diversity of harvest celebrations from across India, offering a glimpse into some of the major traditions observed across the country.
Attendees will enjoy cultural programs that celebrate the diversity of harvest festivals celebrated in various regions of India including Pongal (Tamil Nadu), Lohri (Punjab), Bihu (Assam), Makar Sankrant (Maharashtra, Gujarat), Poush Sankranti (Bengal) and many other such traditions all over India.
Event Highlights
Cultural Performances: Dances, music, and theatrical acts showcasing India's vibrant harvest traditions.
Group Dance Competition: Open to participants aged 8 and above, featuring performances reflecting the spirit of harvest celebrations.
Adult Singing Competition: Teams will perform non-classical Hindi songs to capture the joy of the harvest season.
Non-compete segment - to showcase any form of art
Food
Authentic Indian cuisines will be available to savor.
