Anisha Ravi's Art Exhibition

Press Release

About the Artist Anisha Ravi

From a tender age, Anisha exhibited a profound fascination for acquiring artistic materials, particularly colors and drawing implements. At the remarkable age of five, she astounded us with her exceptional drawings that transcended the boundaries of her chronological years. Recognizing her inherent talent and burgeoning interest in the arts, we embarked on a diligent search for an instructor who could nurture and guide her development as an artist. It was during this pursuit that we fortuitously encountered Raksha Soni. Since the tender age of six, Anisha has had the privilege of learning under the tutelage of Raksha Soni, who has played an instrumental role in shaping her artistic growth.

Currently enrolled in the eighth grade in Burlington, MA, Anisha is now thirteen years of age. Over the years, she has diligently honed her artistic skills, achieving notable proficiency in the traditional Indian folk art forms of Madhubani and Kalamkari. Raksha Soni's dedication to her students is unwavering, as evidenced by her unwavering commitment to providing instruction even during the challenging times of 2020. Despite the global lockdown, Raksha Soni ensured that her students continued their artistic practice through the provision of online classes, thus enabling them to maintain their artistic development.

We are immensely proud of Anisha's achievements and are delighted to present her artwork in this library exhibition.
