The India Discovery Center organized a workshop with Dr. Sampadananda Mishra, a renowned Sanskrit scholar and philosopher on Sept 21, 2024 at the Bemis Hall in Lincoln, Ma.
After a brief introduction by Dr. Bijoy Mishra, Dr. Sampanadananda presented an introduction to the Vedas. Dr. Mishra has a Ph.D in Sanskrit Grammar. He is also a follower of Shri Aurobindo. He has done extensive work in bringing the knowledge of Sanskrit to the masses.
“I have been blessed to make Sanskrit my life. My grandfather was my first teacher and he told me I should never swerve away from Sanskrit” said Dr. Mishra .
Using etymology as the basis, he enlightened the audience about the basic concepts of the Vedas. A lot of his philosophical approach came from his studying at the Ashram of Shri Aurobindo. The program was truly inspiring.
