With inflation making borrowing money more difficult and expensive, and millions of people falling victim to identity theft and fraud each year, the personal-finance website WalletHub today released its report on the Cities Where People Are the Most Diligent With Credit in 2024 to highlight where people are at the least risk of credit score damage, fraud and other financial negatives.

WalletHub compared 100 of the largest U.S. cities across six key metrics that indicate awareness and diligence in managing credit. Our data set ranges from the percentage of residents who have missed payments to the percentage of frozen credit reports and active bankruptcies.
