With a sound that melds the sitar, sarangi, and Hindustani vocal styles, Borkar’s melodies are an ethereal, otherworldly experience. A true master of his craft, he weaves intricate rhythms and melodies with the finesse of a seasoned conductor. He received his initial training from his father Pt Shekhar Borkar who trained him in his own ‘tarankaar baaz’ playing style, which mixes the Maihar gharana of Ustad Allauddin Khan with ideas from across khayal vocal music, notably including intricate ornamentation of taans. Today, Borkar’s heartfelt renditions draw inspiration from the legends of the genre, including Ustad Allauddin Khan and Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, and of course his father. Yashwant Vaishnav is widely hailed as a tabla prodigy, a once in a generation musician. His initial training began with his father Rajendra Sachdev and later from Shri Hemant Sachdev and Pandit Mukund Bhale. He had the fortune to study under Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar at the ITC Sangeet Research Academy, Kolkata. Currently he is a disciple of legendary Tabla Maestro Pandit Yogesh Samsi. Yashwant’s Tabla playing is marked with clarity and a crisp tonality which stays uncompromised at high octane speeds as well. His creative approach to rhythmic distribution and progression is a treat to listen to in his riveting solos. His approach to accompaniment on the other hand is subtle, supportive and supplementary. Yashwant takes a keen interest in collaborating with different forms of music and is influenced by different genres and assimilates all of this in his playing. Manas Kumar is a disciple of his father G. Chamua and subsequently Pandit Bidyut Misra. Manas is a physics graduate and he holds a degree in music from the prestigious Bhatkhande University, Lucknow. Manas is a top-graded artist of the All India Radio, Mumbai. He is a recipient of the prestigious Sangeet Natak Academies Yuva Award. Manas has enthralled audiences globally at numerous prestigious music festivals. Manas is a busy recording artist for film music, music albums and concerts.  He is a faculty of music at Sharda Sangeet Vidyalaya, Mumbai. A child prodigy, S.Akash is a disciple of Pandit Venkatesh Godkhindi. He is also learning gayaki ang on flute from Pandit Jayateerth Mevundi. Akash is a recipient of several awards and has performed globally at prestigious venues. Amit Kavthekar is a disciple of Ustad Alla Rakha and is a leading tabla player in the US. Amit has toured extensively across the world to perform as a soloist and accompanist. Amit is a faculty of tabla at NESOM.
