Press Release 09/19/2024 On
a delightful late summer Saturday, approximately 55 IIT alumni and their
families from the Greater New England area gathered for a spirited picnic at
Nara Park in Acton, MA, just a stone’s throw from Boston. The event saw a
diverse representation from across the IIT spectrum, including alumni from the
more recent additions to the prestigious list. Durriya
Doctor, President of IITAGNE, welcomed everyone warmly and introduced the
Executive Committee members—Alkesh Shah, IP Singh, Neeta Agarwal, and Nishanth
Gandhi—who are the driving force behind our vibrant community. We were also
honored to hear from Prabhat-ji, our esteemed senior alumnus from IIT
Kharagpur, who graduated in 1966 and shared a wealth of wisdom and nostalgia. The
picnic was a culinary delight, featuring an array of delicious Indian dishes.
In a historic first for IITAGNE, we even had to order extra pizza to satisfy
the hearty appetites of our attendees. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet
new faces and reconnect with old friends. The children enjoyed a range of
engaging activities, including crafts, puzzles, and coloring, while the adults
showcased their athleticism with badminton and frisbee matches. Above
all, the event fostered new friendships and laid the groundwork for future
networking opportunities. We all left with a sense of camaraderie and a shared
anticipation for the next gathering. You may also access this article through our web-site http://www.lokvani.com/ |
