IAGB-Red Sox India Celebration 2024 Event at Fenway IAGB celebrates the Roaring Success of the historic and trailblazing Red Sox-IAGB India Celebrations 2024! Red Sox had created 1800 special tickets with the specially designed India Jersey - tickets were sold out, still asking for more! And the cherry on the cake or one can say that it was Team IAGB’s good luck charm – Red Sox won the game that night against the Seattle Mariners!  A stupendous highlight of this trendsetter event was the 1st pitch line up! Celebrated Astronaut Sunita Williams humbled us all by her astounding message for the Indian American community from the outer space, while another ace astronaut Raja Chari graced the ground making a perfect 1st pitch! IAGB feels fortunate along with the community at large to have had these two phenomenal astronauts of Indian descent be the flag bearer of India at Fenway on Monday night. Hearing “Suni” (as Sunita Williams is fondly called at Nasa) mention IAGB (India Association of Greater Boston) was a moment to cherish and hold close to the deepest core of our hearts for years to come! We felt like we were on cloud nine! Given that Suni and her colleague Butch Wilmore have had to prolong their stay in the outer space due to technical snags in their transport, Team IAGB and the community prays for their wellbeing in outer space and for their safe return to earth. The IAGB-Red Sox India Celebrations this past Monday, July 29 is now a treasured memory in the hearts of the community, thanks to the Red Sox team, and the hard work of IAGB’s rockstar Executive team. The Executive Committee gives a big THANK YOU to the 5 performing groups who added flair to the pregame cultural on Jersey St. - Ghoomar goes Global, Nrityam Dance Group, Josh Dhol Tasha Pathak, Bolly Beatzz and New England Bhangra Group. IAGB’s pledge has always been to collaborate and corroborate and work together to build a stronger community. IAGB feels ecstatically humbled that the Red Sox-IAGB India Celebrations 2024 was yet another trailblazer and a grand success. IAGB-Red Sox-Indian American Community - TOGETHER, WE CREATED HISTORY!
